Get Perspective.

According to the National Science Foundation, people can have up to 60,000 thoughts a day and approximately 80% of those thoughts are negative. If you find yourself getting down, pay attention to your thoughts and make sure you aren’t getting caught in a negative cycle. A good way to flip the script on your brain is to focus on how far you have come and what you are working towards.

10 tips for gaining new perspective:

  1. Practice Gratitude: Start each day by listing three things you're thankful for.

  2. Reframe Negative Thoughts: When negative thoughts arise, try to find a positive spin on the situation.

  3. Surround Yourself with Positive People: Spend time with people who uplift and encourage you.

  4. Focus on What You Can Control: Don't waste energy on things outside of your control.

  5. Set Goals: Having clear goals can help you prioritize and focus on what's important.

  6. Find Purpose: Identify what gives your life meaning and pursue it.

  7. Take Care of Yourself: Prioritize self-care activities like exercise, sleep, and relaxation.

  8. Learn from Mistakes: Shift your perspective on failure as an opportunity to learn and grow.

  9. Practice Mindfulness: Focus on the present moment and cultivate a non-judgmental awareness.

  10. Celebrate Small Wins: Recognize and celebrate your accomplishments, no matter how small they may be.
